Riverbank FCU prioritizes your financial security. That’s why we’re implementing a new ID proofing measure for in-person shared branching transactions. This new fraud prevention measure will allow us to make certain it is YOU trying to access your account, not an imposter.
What is Co-Op IDCheck?
IDCheck is an easy, fast, and secure process accessed through your mobile device. By scanning the QR code in-branch or visiting verify.coop.org, you will be able to authenticate your identity and provide a code to your teller before doing your transaction.
How does it work?
- Scan the QR code located in the branch or visit verify.coop.org.

- Select your credit union’s name from the drop down list.
- Enter your member number and the last four digits of your social security number.
- Upload a photo of your ID.
- Take a selfie. (You can save your validation for a quicker experience next time!)
- Show your one-time passcode to the teller (passcode is valid or 20 minutes).
What transactions will require IDCheck?
At Riverbank FCU, we require IDCheck for all shared branching withdrawals using an out-of-state ID or passport.
Other credit unions in the Shared Branching network may use IDCheck for additional transaction types.
Is IDCheck required?
Yes, IDCheck must be used for the transaction types above. If you’re using a military ID or are unable to obtain a passcode, your teller may assist you with an alternative method.
What if I’m a Riverbank FCU Member using a Shared Branch location out-of-state?
Shared Branch guest members, using an out-of-state CO-OP Shared Branch must have their out-of-state ID, which includes Federal IDs, validated by IDCheck for any withdrawal of funds. Military IDs are exempt.
